Leading integrated communications for auctions and special projects

Sotheby’s

As Deputy Director of Integrated Communications, the role centres on shaping Sotheby’s strategic voice and amplifying its presence across the Middle East and London. Working closely with specialist departments and press teams globally, the position involves devising and delivering high-impact campaigns spanning fine art and luxury sales, single-owner collections, and major travelling exhibitions. Responsibilities include press strategy and execution, media relationship management, auction result analysis, and cross-departmental coordination on key initiatives.

A defining focus has been on strengthening Sotheby’s presence in the Middle East through integrated communications for landmark moments. This includes working with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) on the inaugural Abu Dhabi Collectors’ Week - a flagship initiative designed to engage and expand the regional collector base, as well as overseeing the communications strategy for Sotheby’s first large-scale fine art travelling exhibition in Abu Dhabi, staged over two days and featuring major works never before seen in the Middle East by Van Gogh, Gauguin, Kahlo, Munch, Magritte, and Pissarro.

The role also spans press coverage for core sale categories, including Old Masters, Books & Manuscripts, Islamic and Russian Art, alongside broader corporate storytelling. A multi-channel strategy integrates earned media, targeted press campaigns, and stakeholder engagement to drive visibility, positioning Sotheby’s at the forefront of a rapidly growing regional market.
